Now, don't get me wrong, I kinda like the show, but whenever I see "created by Michael Crichton" in the credits, it irks me. "Created"? Really, Michael?
This is how I imagine that meeting going down:
NBC Exec 1: Michael Crichton, you're an acclamed science fiction/thriller author and we here at N.B.C. would like you to develop a compelling new show for the fall season. Do you have any ideas?
Michael Crichton: Sure, Let's do a show about DOCTORS!
NBC Exec 1: THAT'S GREAT!
NBC Exec 2: You're a Genius!
NBC Exec 3: It's so original!
NBC Exec 4: Here's a big bag of money!

Yeah... I liked Jurassic Park and all, but fuck you, Michael Crichton.
