I know Kara's a big fan of his work. He struggled with cancer for much of the last decade. My condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

I think it's very sad when someone who was so influential in changing the look of comics and inspiring scores of young artists passes on. I'm sure he will be missed by many.
I've seen some lovely tributes to him online, such as this one by one of my favorite webcomic artists: http://jollyjack.deviantart.com/art/Michael-Turner-RIP-90217532

He also did a tribute when the wonderful Mike Wieringo left us, as well. http://jollyjack.deviantart.com/art/The-good-Mr-Wieringo-62279667

We're losing some of the great artists I remember from when I was growing up and studying comics to learn to draw, and it's very unfortunate. :( May they rest in peace.
I want my job description to be: "gets paid to draw sexy ladies." :D

Ya, I got to meet the guy in real life some years ago. I met him at a comic book signing in San Francisco and I got to talking to him about comics and other stuff and actually got to spend some time with him away from the signing. I have a lot of autographed comics and posters from him that he personally sent me. Including a Supergirl 0 and Supergirl 1 that he did a little bit ago. He was a very nice person and just a wonderful artist. His artwork and stories are what brought me back to comic books after years of me thinking that I out grew them. I found out about his passing shortly after it happened. Was quite sad and depressed for a little bit.
Image It's not easy being me but I make it look damn good.
