The Lion and the Lamb

*i had written this as an introduction to a comic book i wanted to write based on the book of revelations a couple of years ago. i'm really pleased with it. this is an allegory and very concise so i'll be happy to define or clarify any terms or concepts you don't understand. it the end it can help me evolve it.*

There is a Lion that no man has seen. He is the creator of Heaven, Earth and everything in them. Scriptures of old told of His arrival as a Lamb, the Redeemer, to cleanse the world of sin. It is also written the Lamb would return as the Lion on a great and terrible day to reclaim what is His from the wicked and the Lawless.

The people of the Lion, unique to the rest of the world, kept his covenant and word. Over time their love for He changed to strange idols and money. When the Lamb came they did not recognize him, mostly in part by selective reading. They wanted the Lion to come and take over the world. Not knowing who he was, they wanted and had him killed for disrupting the temple (His temple) business.

The beatings and shedding of blood brought a new and more excellent covenant, extending it to all peoples and nations. The Lamb returned to his disciples three-and-a-half days after his death to show that He indeed conquered and fulfilled the cost of death. His power over the Earth was absolute.

The Lamb returned to Heaven. His spirit remained to dwell with his servants and all those who called his name. The ones He sent laid their hands on many and the Spirit entered them. Servants of the Lamb and Lion arose from all peoples and nations all moving in one spirit. It is so to this day.

The people of the Lion still await his arrival…

*shudder*
It seems quite good as a short story, Christian influence is quite obvious.
You said it was the introduction to the comic, so I guess the comic evolves into a religious conflict, I can hear the Jihads from here, Am I wrong?

You should turn it into a short story and post it on the site! :)

all i did there was paraphrase and oversimplify Genesis through Jude. Any story would just be telling all the juicy parts or the cream filling.

The Lion is YHWH (LORD)and the Lamb is Emmanuel(roughly translated- God is with us. Meaning God on Earth), Yeshua Hamashea(Jesus Christ). The Spirit is the Holy Spirit. Elohim(God) is the word for referring to all three. On the 6th day it says God creates man, which i refer to as the nations. After God rests it tells later that the LORD forms the Adam, making him different from anyone from the nations(Notice that the LORD, as opposed to God, formed the Adam. This makes the relationship more personal). So Adam wouldn't have to "mix" with the nations, the LORD "pulls a rib" from Adam to make Eve, meaning Eve is different from the nations as well and is the same as the Adam. Making them and their descendants the people of the Lion.

I'll continue later with the Lawless and the wicked. maybe
