Answer: Nope, I just like to do a color strip now and then because I feel like it, or for practice, or in some cases to show a new character's color scheme or add some emphasis to a panel. See:

Although I must admit, this strip was one of the times I considered making the change to full-time color. It takes a bit more time, but I think it might be worth it for the added visual interest.
I do really like experimenting with black and white, though, and am trying to perfect the look, so I don't necessarily want to abandon it entirely.
So if I do decide to change to color strips more often than black-and-white, I don't think I'll make an "official announcement"... I'll just start doing color strips more often than b&w ones.* That way if I do throw in b&w strips now and then, it's not a big deal, it's just what I did that day.

*Though since the future is always changing, I may change my stance on this someday. We'll see.
