Painted Look

The new style gives those creatures an otherworldly quality that makes them even creepier. What are they, BTW?

Haven't come up with a name for them yet; sort of half-ghost half-bone creatures. I thought about calling them "ghasts" but that's already been used in DnD for a fairly standard ghoul-type creature. Any suggestions?

They immediately struck me as revenants.

I've always been a big fan of that word. I also like the words haberdashery and salacious.

I do like the new art style, pacman would look way better with it.
And i have no idea how to call those ghoslty things, so I'll join the revenant motion.

Hmm. I do love the word "revenant"... and the combination of ghost-and-bone does seem about right for it. So those are some points in the "For" category. In the "Against" category, though, I still imagine revenants as a little more humanoid, and as having come back for some particular reason, usually to avenge their death or the like. I could possibly see calling them "wraiths" although I usually imagine those as more wispy/smokelike, and these guys do have some solidity from their bones and ectoplasmic bodies.... I dunno.

I also agree that haberdashery and salacious are awesome words. I should use them more often. :D

... I think I'm gonna go with "bonewraith" for these guys. I'll have to use "revenant" eventually as well. More undead beasties await in the Dark Forest!
