Site Slowdown
While Dan is in L.A., we're getting as much of the business end of things done as possible. As such, we're left with little time to post these strips, or even lurk in the forums. Once Dan abandons us again for N.Y., we'll return to our normal pace of online presence.
In the meantime, this week sees the return of one Mike Corse, complete with a slight character redesign, and all of his trademark orator's skills. Although he has developed swearing to the level of it being an art form, his full might cannot be unleashed, otherwise we would not be able to argue that this strip is not to be "rated R".

bah
fucking lag time between posting. Good shit dave. You haven't failed me, now let's go get lunch, I'm hungry.
And what the fuck do you mean, rated R?

awww...
I thought Mike would go in for the kill...
By the way... nothing is really R rated nowadays unless there is a lot of T and A in it... not like when I was a kid... Slip the word "bitch" in a movie and it was PG-13... and shocking... now PG-13 movies have all kinds of colorful metaphors in them. Movies can practically be soft core porn and be rated R... I miss the days when they just insinuated sex in movies instead of acting it out... Though I like that the whole cuss word thing is not that big of a deal anymore... Kids are gonna cuss either way... That is just life.

"New Mike"
I'm trying to think of an excuse to hate the "New Mike" so I can start a conflict to force Squishy to bring back "Mike Classic."
Nope, it's not working...sigh
I'm still looking for the fishing line binding Helen and Dan at the hip.

Ha
They're not attached by a fishing line.... it's more like.... something irish... cuz those Mc's all stick together and talk about the trials and tribulations of the 1800's... But we all know that the degraded Irish situation of the 1800's still affects them to this very day in a social and economic way. Poor things. :(

Shave, but no Haircut
I seem to have received a shave which, depending on where you stand on the facial hair of no debate, could be seen as a good thing. What is probably not so much of a good thing is the fact that I seem to have been left with some rather massive sideburns. Not "mutton chops" mind you, but they still seem to go down to my jaw line.
Also, I seem to look "cutesier" here than usual. Maybe its just me *heh*
The Mike redesign looks alright. Nothing really jumping out at me as "wrong", though replacing the hat would certainly fall into that category.

The Business of Things
Dave is quite correct in his summation of the general slowdown to the forums/news posts here on Squishy Comics. With our head writer in from New York we have in fact been taking as much time out of our usual round of beach going, karaoke bar-ing, drunken "Guitar Hero" binging to hammer out as much as we can while the entirety of Squishy is residing in what is roughly the same zip code. This of course all ties into both the immediate and more long term future of Squishy. Rest assured we shall keep our audience posted as to anything nearing implementation.
*Bonus* For all of you who have asked for it, we present to you the return of the expanded "Squishy Comics" cast. You've seen Joel, Steve, and myself recently (with speaking parts! Double-Bonus!!) and Mike is currently getting some much demanded (by him) spotlight time. Please stay with us at this train gets back on track:)
