Ha
This is why I love RPing with Danny. When he does this kinda shit it's pure entertainment. Once I played this kid, and Danny played a samurai... who couldn't speak a language any of us understood... so we had to go on sheer knowledge of DANNY'S body acting... it was good times but short lived.
Danny needs to play these types of toons more often.... JUST for the fact that when he makes a badass, he does badass things... and doesn't want to. Make an uber charismatic but somewhat free spirited guy... then feels guilty when Dave explains how he's abusing people's emotions and such.
Make an awesome fencer (much like myself IRL) "I stab her in the lungs!" "I hit, WOO!" "What... she's dying? I didn't mean to kill her!" -You stabbed her through a lung Danny... "GOD DAMNIT!" This was during a sporting tourney... so yeah... I say again... I think Danny needs to play the guy that isn't what he should be... and rely 100% on acting for the fun of it. :)

Ha! Part Deux.
Dude, I totally forgot about the game with the Samurai! However, in the spirit of full disclosure the character of Ren-ren the Iaijitsu Master. was originated, not by me, but by our friend Carlito, "Fuego" of the forums, years before that game took place.
If any of you readers are curious, I'm not going to dispute what Mike said. It's all, in a sense, true. What Mike failed to mention however, is while I do happen to goof up when I play "Bad Ass" characters this is mainly due to my abysmal luck when it comes to dice rolls.
For instance, the time where I stabbed my opponent in the lungs was a decision made after a protracted fight where every hit that I made was doing little to no damage due to my poor damage rolls. After like twenty rounds of this I was frustrated and bored and decided that I just wanted the fight to end. I called my next shot to the vitals...
...and critically succeeded.
I think that the best way to explain my dice rolling luck is to say that I have no real middle ground. I either fail normally, or I succeed spectacularly, and quite often at the most inopportune time. In fact I may go as far as to say that my critical successes have caused just as much if not more trouble than any time I've critically failed.
Inside Joke Alert:
Hey Dave! Very FINE armor.

You Deleted My Post!
Sorry, Dan, but Mike pretty much nailed it on the head. The reason your character's "successes" brings trouble to the group is because said characters succeed in doing things that are just plain wrong. The best example I can recall would be:
Your womanizing character succeeds in seducing the pretty young clerk at the hall of records. Score. Oh, wait, she's the person you were explicitly told by Mike's PC NOT to mess around with since a) she's had a rough life, b) she JUST managed to get some semblance of stability in her life thanks to, in no small part, Mike's selfless efforts (he was playing the silent bad-ass with a heart of gold), c) your PC has some enemies which could and did use her to get to you.
And Dan, normally I'd give you the benefit of the doubt since my memory's shaky at best, but every other player there backs me up, the suit of armor you found was described as "Very nice looking platemail", not "Very fine platemail" ("very fine" translates in GURPS as superior quality gear, with bonuses and stuff).

Site still rocky. New site ready to go live soon as our new provider's ready for us. Strip and News work just fine, the gallery has pictures, and the forums work even though they're a bit buggy. Everything else is subject to be fixed, updated, or dropped.

One More Thing
Dan, you really do need to get in on a game with us. Your shenanigans are ALWAYS a source of fun and comedy, regardless of the outcome. Besides, seeing as how I'm the de facto GM, your shenanigans are almost never a headache... for me ;) Just the other PCs.

RE: One More Thing
By getting in a game with us... step 1 is Dave actually running a game...
*cough*
