Only a true Chair Race veteran knows that "School-style" Wood is the way to go. It has less weight and is rigid enough to use all the energy for movement. Don't let the wheels fool you, metal swivels waste too much inertia in spinning the top. And Dee's chair was just a bad choice because it's top heavy, wide based...and because I taped a lead paperweight under the seat.

Today's strip was inspired by many, many amusing incidents. People from other places can't begin to fathom how we can not freak out when the Earth moves under us. I'd rather be somewhere the buildings are constructed to handle the vibrations. Better to have earthquakes than F5 tornadoes tearing everything up and flinging cows several hundred feet.
