Just Doing Their Job

I know the people running the mobile phone kiosks are just doing their job. I also know they don't LIKE what they do, but it's their JOB to do what they do.

With that said, I %*^#&$! HATE walking by cell phone kiosks at the mall, ESPECIALLY during the holidays. The associates will block my path and shove their products in my face telling me that there's free products for me, just go over to the kiosk. They demand to know, in that "you're being stupid" tone of voice, why I'm turning down free stuff. WHY? Because I DON'T WANT IT!

I made the mistake of thinking I could just have a look at the phones as I'm actually considering getting a new one. Oops. The associates were over me in an instant. They started spouting everything they could think of to get me engaged in a sales pitch. I kept telling them, first politely, then not so much, that I just need a few minutes to look at the phones. Yeah, not a chance. Here's the funny thing: the associates chased me away when I was actually interested in a phone. Thankfully, the internet provides the means to get that phone I want, for less than the kiosk was charging, and without the hassle. Yay.
