*Tap-Tap* This thing on?
Hey, it's been a while since I posted anything, so here's a real quick summary of "Life of Dave" during the past week.
People seem to be digging the Arturo and Dee buddy flick strips, so yay.
In Modern Warfare 2, Paul and I decided to make "ninja" classes, meaning we would make a class that would focus on speed and stealth. To accomplish this we needed to unlock the "tactical knife" attachment for our pistols of choice; I use a USP45 while Paul favors the 44 Magnum... he's a bit of a cowboy you see. Well, I appear to be a pistol savant. I seem to do really well when armed with nothing more than my trusty USP45. My current hypothesis is that I play "better" with nothing but a pistol simply because I end up playing smarter, taking less risks, assessing situations more carefully, etc. So now, I'm pretending I have a pistol whenever I use ANY weapon. So far, it seems to be paying off. I hate how my brain works sometimes.
I finished reading "Lies My Teacher Told Me" by James Loewen. The book explains many of the things that your high school history classes never told you because teachers and/or publishers were afraid of upsetting your parents if they found out you were told things that portrayed American History in a light that was anything but pure, righteous, and feel-good. And before you jump to conclusions, this doesn't say that "American History is all evil", far from it, it simply says "American History is NOT boring, our heroes were REAL people, with virtues and vices, and even points you in the direction where you can find out stuff for yourself. Check this book out on Amazon. If you like the description there, pick it up.
