Computer Software

So I checked my finances today, and there was a transaction for $14.90 for "Computer Software". There was a number to call, 800-346-8752. I called it, and the operator/computer wanted me to either enter my card number, or press 2 for an associate. Well, I'm not about to CONFIRM my card number to a company I no nothing about, doesn't identify itself, and I suspect of fraud, so I hit 2. All associates are busy... riiiiight.

I did a little internet search and found that this exact charge (type, amount, phone) is showing up on many people's statements, with that number. They all confirm that it's a scam. I was able to have the charge refunded and a new card is on it's way to me, but I have to go without my debit card for a few days.

I urge all of you to keep an eye on your transaction records for the next few weeks and keep an eye open for this or any other suspicious charges. I hope you're good, but if not, better to get this resolved as soon as possible.

-Dave
