Terrible Traffic

Mike is our group's biggest Harry Potter fan. However, I doubt he'd ever throw on a robe and wave a wand around like this.

I spent the weekend stuck in traffic for a total of twelve hours as I made the trip from Los Angeles to Tijuana, Mexico. The trip there was in excruciatingly slow traffic as I attempted to leave Los Angeles... at one point, I traveled a total of five miles in one hour. I kept track with my odometer. The trip home was at night. In the rain. This ranks pretty high on my list of things I'd rather not do. Why did I do this, considering I actually don't LIKE spending much time in Tijuana? Gran'ma Vargas. Momma Vargas wanted nothing more than to have her mom over for Thanksgiving... so how could I not make that happen? Plus I love my gran'ma, and I'm glad she's here :D

Enjoy the strip.

Forgeticus - OG

I would be completely remiss if I didn't direct you to Kevin Smith's original podcast of Forgeticus, of which we are tremendous fans.

Also - in lieu of remembering one's duty - I have to recommend the first installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It is entertaining and even compelling. The tone, from the start, is appropriately serious - deadly serious - and it successfully shrugs off that nagging Encylopedia Brown feel that the previous installments seem to suffer from. After the brilliance of Alfonso Cuaron's vision of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Deathly Hallows succeeds in being the second best adaptation of the entire series.

Lastly, it is our sincerest fanboy fantasy to see a John Woo directed Part II of Deathly Hallows.
