Back from Vegas!

Those of you who have been with Direman Press for a while probably know that I'm a pretty big fan of the Modern Warfare franchise. Unfortunately, Dave sums up how I feel about the series' third installment. Also, Arturo recently brought Call of Duty Elite to my attention. It's a service that apparently offers something similar to Bungie's Halo stat tracking, only Bungie's service is free.

I'll admit that I've not given this much thought and, given that it's late and I'm tired, I'm currently reacting with emotion more than rational thought. Maybe what's left of Infinity Ward, Raven, and Sledgehammer Games will come together in perfect harmony and produce the best FPS game ever made, and Activision will provide an excellent service via their Call of Duty Elite dealie worth every cent they ask for. Maybe I'm just getting older, crankier, and I have unreasonable expectations of the games I play. Or maybe I'm right in thinking that three hands in the pot and a paid subscription for an add-on service to a game is no bueno.
