More Modern Warfare

I received Modern Warfare 3 via GameFly today. I only have about an hour logged in the multiplayer, but I have to say I'm not dying to play it. I don't even think it's the game's fault. The design team did a great job with the maps (less vertical, more horizontal gameplay). The kill streaks don't seem overwhelming. Even little details like a color-blind assist (thank you) makes me give the game props. I think I'm just burnt out on the run-and-gun style gameplay that got ramped up in this iteration.

Then there's the community. Hearing random racial and homophobic slurs in the lobby between games isn't doing much for my desire to play anytime soon. Oh well, maybe I'll change my mind after a few days.

Oh, and I turn 31 tomorrow. Yay.
