Appreciating A Job Well Done

News outlets all over the world were reporting that SEAL Team Six had rescued aid workers, American and Danish, from a Somali pirate camp yesterday morning. This news, along with the 2009 rescue of an American ship captain from similar Somali pirates as well as the termination of Osama bin-Laden, has given SEAL Team Six a well-deserved reputation for success.

They make it seem easy -- routine, even -- but let's not forget how easily such a delicate operation can go horribly wrong. It makes me appreciate the current trend of professionalism in the ranks of our elite special forces, from the command on down.
