Sean Bean: Destined To Die?
There's a lot of excitement in the air as the anticipation for Game of Thrones Season 2 begins to crackle. April 1 is the day of reckoning as the other Baratheon brother (the "unshaved" one, if you catch my meaning) enters the Great Game for bloody vengeance. I've already read the books so I know what's going to happen, but to all you George R.R. Martin virgins out there: I envy you. I think the series is actually better than the books so far, so if this is your first exposure to the material then you're very lucky.
Which brings me to Sean Bean. Poor bastard is destined to be the guy audiences like to see get killed. The only film I remember ever seeing him not die in is one where he plays a British SAS operative during the first Gulf War called Bravo Two Zero. Even then I was only sure he wasn't going to die because he was playing the SAS operative who wrote the book that the film was based on! I hope one day he gets a part on a TV show that's so popular that he has to play his part for like...fifty years or something.
On a side note: I borrowed Mike's Rambo Collector's Set and spent all day Saturday watching Rambo and eating ice cream and Chinese delivery. All of my tough finals and papers are done, you see. One last easy final left and that's on the history of Japan (piece o' cake) where I "had to" watch Gojira as one of the reading assignments.
Also, in case you're wondering about the title of the strip (or if Squishy is some kind of secret web-comic for neo-nazis), check out this funny little incident which was part of the inspiration for today's strip. Later!
