References

In case anyone's curious as to each panel's reference:

This whole strip is Squishy #1, only with Helen instead of Dave.

2007 is the single most poorly drawn Squishy strip ever, Squishy #22.

2008 is Squishy #222, near the end of the arc in which Mike introduces Chip and McLovin.

2009 is Paul's big introductory story arc, Squishy #475, in which zombies roam L.A.

2010 is Squishy #582, where Bianca reunites with the gang after a long absence.

2011 has Dan doing something really nice for Helen during the last Thanksgiving in Squishy #774

Last night's gaming session had my character get shot in the body and the FACE with a plasma weapon, had his leg blown off, had a bomb blow a hole in his face, had a building collapse on top of him, and had some pipe bombs go off right next to him... and yet I still technically met my goal of ending the session at least as well as I began it. Better, even. My soul in a jar character got put in a golem body, which meant I could take all the punishment I described. Sure, I'm hanging around 20% health, but it beats being a soul in a jar sitting on some dragon's table.

Hi, Everybody!

Sorry, I didn't post anything yesterday. Life, as it tends to, got in the way.
First things frist, it's good to be back writing Squishy again. Giving it up was a really difficult decision for me and when I saw that Dave wouldn't be updating it regularly anymore it hit me pretty hard. Doing this little mini arc is a nice cathartic experience and I'd like to thank Dave for giving me the chance to do so. I hope you all enjoy what we're doing here and I'll be back tomorrow with more commentary and insights.

Sidenote: Since we're talking about our gaming experiences. I RP'd for the first time five years or so on Sunday. Got knocked down to 0 HP in the first round of the first combat encounter, but managed to make a good showing for the rest of the game. Note: Don't make an RP character for an action game.
